Moonshadow crew is ready for the Halloween tonight.  We went to see Barefoot Davis at Roger Browns.  We had a great time with lots of laughs and some dancing too.  The weather window looks like we are going to leaving on Saturday.  So, today was very busy doing laundry and last minute provisioning.  We decided to walk to the grocery store, which was a mile and half.  Once we were done shopping we tried to get a cab.  However, no luck.  So, we started walking back.  We did manage to find a taxi as we were walking, which was great because our hands were starting to hurt.  We will see what tomorrow brings.

Monday night cocktail hour was hosted at the Commodore Theatre, which was followed up with the movie Captain Phillips.  The owner had restored the threatre back to the 1930's era.  It was a fun evening.  Tuesday we went to some seminars in the morning.  We headed to Moonshadow afterwards to clean her up.  Tuesday evening we went to the Bier Garden for a buffet and german bier.  Boy was that bier good.  It was so good that we had one to many and were hurting a little bit Wednesday morning.  However, we managed to take a ferry to Norfolk for lunch.  Tonight we are dressing up for Halloween and Barefoot Davis is playing at Rogers Browns.  Stay tuned for photos.

It is Sunday morning and our wind forcast is 5 to 10 out of the NW with gusts to 15.  This is a perfect day to go down the bay.  So, we cast off around 10 am.  We decided to do an overnight to Portsmouth, instead of anchoring for the night.  We motored the whole way.  Paul wanted to make sure the engine was working properly before we head out to sea, which worked out well seeing that the air was light.  We got the crew comfortable with the eletronics on proper usage.  We arrived at Portsmouth around noon on Monday.  Portsmouth is military area.  We saw all kind of military ships on our way to the marina.  It was an uneventful trip, which is always good!

It is Saturday morning and we have decided to stay in Annapolis one more day.  The wind is blowing 20 knots out of the SW with gust to 30 and of course that is the direction we are going.  The wind is going to swtich to the NW on Sunday which will be a more pleasant ride.  We worked all day on getting Moonshadow and crew ready for the passage.  It was a good productive day and we are ready to head to Portsmouth to meet up with the rest of the rally.
