Atlantic Cup May 9, 2013

Yesterday we had a fantastic spinacker sail for four hours in the afternoon. We did not want to fly the spinacker at night so we ended up motor sailing the rest of the night and today. The winds are 5 to 7 knots dead down wind. We are about a hundred miles away form the Old Bahamian Channel. We have been seeing a lot of freighters. Thank god for AIS. AIS are installed on all commercial vessels. We also have it. It shows which way the boat is going, what type of boat they are, and how close they are to you. It is a wonderful system! We are doing well, but a little sleep deprived. The most sleep we get at different times of the day is 1 to 3 hours. However, we do get these 3 to 4 times a day. Speaking of which it is time for me to nap. Goodnight!
