Since our crew has left, Paul went out racing on the Around Tortola Race.  They ended up winning the event.  Then, we were invited to our friend Brian's place for Thanksgiving.  He lives up on the hill over looking Cane Garden Bay.  There was a total 10 of us.  Paul helped Claudia make pie crust for the pumkin pie and he got to carve the turkey.  We all helped getting dinner together and had a wonderful evening!

We ended up having a great trip down.  The first 5 days was alot of wind and seas, however after that we had light winds and calm waters for a few days.  The last 32 hours of our trip we had 20 knots of winds with gust to 25 knots and beam seas.  So, we finished off getting beat up again.  We had a wave come across the boat that ripped off one of our doard vents.  We had water come into the cabin as well.   But, we made into Nanny Cay around 3:00 pm November 12 with very little breakage.

We cleaned up at the award ceremony this year.  Paul won the mustache contest.  Moonshadow won the most beautiful boat and we won the spirit of the rally award.  It was a great evening.

We are still having 25 to 30 knots with gust as high as 38 knots. We have been rocking & rolling for days now. Jim is under the weather which made long shifts for the rest of us. Our one solar panel arm broke two days ago. So, now that is racket straped on. Hopefully it will last for us. Last night we almost lost our bladder tank on deck that has 40 gallons of diesel. Thank god Paul caught it in time since it is still full. We are still having fun and eating well!

Well we have had a bumpy trip so far and it looks like it is going to continue for a while. The first day out we saw lots of dolphins! We entered the gulf stream sunday morning and we got welcomed with a wave that wanted to come right into the cockpit. We made it out of the gulf stream last night, however an eddy was trying to keep us in. This morning is not too bad. We have steady 20-25 knot winds with gust to 30 and 9 to 11 foot seas. The main thing we are working on right now is trying to get as much rest as possibly. We are all in good spirits and are looking forward to lighter winds.
