Paul & Monica. . . great to meet you and visit aboard Moonshadow. It was truly a great weekend and Saturday night was probably one of the greatest ever. Thank you. Good luck and fair seas for your travels. We will follow along vicariously,

Hey guys!
It was great to meet you both... good luck on your journey south and in avoiding the hurricane. We're currently in Solomons Island as I type and heading further south tomorrow. I hope we catch you down in the islands!
Love,

Paul and Monica,
Just found your blog and absolutely love it! We are fellow Tayana 42 owners (as of Dec 12) We bought it in Annapolis and spent the first cruising season doing "shake down" and getting back to our home port in Portsmouth, NH. We went cruising back in 2001 for a year and since returning to "civilization", have been yearning to go back to the cruising life! We love what you have done with the boat and hope to hear more about some of the "retro fits".
Good luck and if you are ever in New England, give us a holler! Would love to catch up sometime in the future and "swap stories". Until then, keep the stories and photos coming! Our hope is to "jump off" within the next 3-5 years!
Fair Winds and Following Seas!

Sounds like you are both enjoying the warmth of Island Life. It has been very cold & so far we have shoveled snow 5 times (not much each time) Lynn & I go to Cancun on Jan.10 th & return on Feb.27th At least it will be warm while we are there. Wild Oats looks rather sad all covered with tarps sitting at the dock.
Enjoy the Sun Happy New Year Fred
P.S. Chip & Judy are back from their 7 weeks in N.Z & Australia.
Arrived in Sunny Cancun on Jan 12,2014 All is going well. Expect to stay for 7 weeks then return to the chill of PA & hope for an early spring to recommission Wild Oats Enjoy your time o
aboard Moonshadow Fred
Casey and I enjoyed meeting you both the other at Nanny Cay. Spending the day here today if you are around come up and I will buy you and Retro Jimmy a drink... Cheers
Sounds like all of you are adjusting well to life at sea. At least there are 4 of you sit watches. Judy & I were all we had & no one else to turn the helm over to. Thank goodness for our third & best crew member AUTOPILOT She never complained or took a break By the way how did the vane handle the boat & seas? Glad you are having fun Fred
So glad you are having good weather Hope you didn't get too beat up the first few days If it is any consolation it was cloudy, rainy, & windy in St.Martin 600 miles or more south of you Fred
Congratulations on making it to your destination Paul and Monica! Quite an adventure! Can't wait to hear more stories - you've outdone yourselves with the website and blog.
Prayers are with Rule 62 and crew members, for a safe return for all crew.
Get some rest, and then let the rum flow. See you at MM in the spring.

Hi Paul and Monica:
Its Friday, November 19th - sipping scotch and reading you posts, very exciting and we are certainly envious.
Very glad you are safe.
How did the Monitor Vane work for you?
