The ralley is having a lasagna dinner party tonight and I couldn't let Fat Bastard have all the fun.  So my horse, Herman, and I decided to join in.  When we came into the tent all we heard was laughter.  It was great hit.  We had a blast.

It is Sunday October 31, 2010.  We heard depressing news today that we will not be leaving until Friday now. The whole attitude of the marina is very somber.  Thank god it is Halloween and we have a reason to have some fun.  As you can see Fat Bastard came out for the trick or treaters.  We had about 8 kids with some pretty creative costumes.

Paul ended talking to his friend, Lou, on Facebook and ended up hooking up with his phone number.  Lou lives in Hampton.  So on Saturday he ended up visiting us for awhile.  We had a great time.  Afterwards, we went up to the cocktail party and hung out with the rest of the rally.

We hired Tim Hasson to help us with some electronics.  One of our issues was with the SSB, the SSB book for dummies told us that we should not connect one of the wires.  Well, of course the wire needed to be connected so our tuning button will work.  So, we put our bed back together and found out that the tuning button still was not working.  We ended up talking to Davis and he said that the connector doesn't always click the wires into place. You need to take needle nose pliers and jam the wires in till you hear a click.  So, the bed got removed again and Paul got the wires to connect properly.  Now we have our tuning button working properly and one more thing off the list.

This morning we had a skippers meeting and a seasickness seminar.  After the meeting, I got to go shopping with Debbie, she is our slip neighbor on Rule 62.  The boys are planning to work on stowing things and securing anything that will move.  After working hard all day we went out to Marker 20 to see the Barefoot Band.

Davis is the lead singer who is very active with the Caribbean 1500.  He lives in St. Thomas and is a funny guy.  We ended up doing their special of 1 pound of shrimp for $10.95 with fried pickles.  The pickles were actually really good.  Paul got to show his moves and we headed back to the boat.  Here's a video of Barefoot Davis performing on a pirate ship.

Jim and Mike arrived at 2:00 pm on Wednesday.  We have lots of small projects to do yet, but now we have four extra hands.  It is a beautiful sunny day with temperature at 80 degrees.
