Caribbean 1500 2013

We have had a great summer on the bay.  Moonshadow has some new bells and whistles.  Such as electric furler for the genoa and staysail.  Also, we have added a roll gen for our spinnaker.  We also had to remove our water line, so we could raise it.  We have had a blast trying the new toys on the Bay.

We have managed to go to three weddings and a family reunion this summer.  We went to Geppert Camp for Monica's 40th Birthday, where friends joined us. After Monica's birthday we went to a Jimmy Buffet Concert.  We visited our friends in New York City for two days.  It has been a very busy summer.

Now we are getting ready for the Caribben 1500 once again.  We have a return crew member this time, Turbo Jim.  Gordon Learn is joining us as well.  Gordon is a long time sailing friend from the bay.  We had the pleasure attending Gordon and Kelly's wedding at Cooper Island last year.

So, Jim and Gordon are on Moonshadow now.  We are leaving Bert Jabin Yacht Yard tomorrow heading to Portsmouth, which is where the rally is hosted this year.  We are schedueled to leave November 3, weather permitting.  Last night was the first night the crew is all together and we are already having a great time.  Today is a working day.  Moonshadow should be already to leave when we get to Portsmouth.  Looking forward to another great trip!
