We are so excited that you made it safe and sound that we're celebrating with you. Jon started celebrating before I got home from work. Grandma was also happy to know you arrived. Can't wait to read and hear all about the passage.
Jon says: I did not start celebrating without Gayle. I only opened, decanted, and tested the wine. Okay, perhaps I tested a couple of times. Anyway, congrats guys!
Monica--great job on the videos. I was feeling seasick just from watching those waves. Love the new pictures in the photo galleries, too. Kudos on capturing the natural beauty of the BVIs.
How is the crew holding up? Dylan will go one year if you need extra crew. Is your transponder ok, it looks like you are not updated as much as others as they are drinking on land already.
Sorry to hear about your delays but better safe than sorry with the weather. Saw on the cariba500 web site that some of the group went over to the Mariners' Museum. Did you get a chance to go? Bobbi and I (especially me with the Civil War interest) really enjoyed it. When we were there the scientists had drained the tank holding the Monitor's turret and were working on casting molds of the bolt patterns for the armor plating.
Glad to see you are off. Checked your position (off of Morehead City). Will follow your trip. Calm seas and fair winds (or whatever winds you sailors look for). ENJOY !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great to see the main leg of your cruise come to a successful end. Have been following your progress thru your position. Enjoy your time "island hopping". Bobbi and I are off to the Election of Officers and Brunch later this AM.
We will continue to follow the blog and again - CONGRATS & ENJOY.
Paul and Monica,
Just found your blog and absolutely love it! We are fellow Tayana 42 owners (as of Dec 12) We bought it in Annapolis and spent the first cruising season doing "shake down" and getting back to our home port in Portsmouth, NH. We went cruising back in 2001 for a year and since returning to "civilization", have been yearning to go back to the cruising life! We love what you have done with the boat and hope to hear more about some of the "retro fits".
Good luck and if you are ever in New England, give us a holler! Would love to catch up sometime in the future and "swap stories". Until then, keep the stories and photos coming! Our hope is to "jump off" within the next 3-5 years!
Fair Winds and Following Seas!

IT WAS SO INCREDIBLE catching up with you and meeting Monica at Benuers bay on Norman Island last month. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US (yesterday, but we were out sailing so no time for internet...)
Am hoping to cross paths again. All our love,
Kelly & Stephen
