This Morning we left bright and early from Solomons Island on our way to Reedville, VA.  Sailing friends, Steve and Barbara, told us it was a nice anchorage a couple years ago.  So, we decided to check it out.  The wind was blowing 15 knots with gust of 25 knots out of the NW with 4 to 6 foot seas from behind us.

We have made it to Solomons Islands around 2:00 pm.  We picked up a mooring for $40.00 at Zanhier's Marina.  We checked in at the office and used there bikes for a ride into town.  We rode by a research facility and of course all Paul could see was how many fume hoods they had in within the labs.  We stopped buy the visitor center and learned it was the oldest house on Solomons Island.

We left Herrington Harbor South at 8:01 am today on our way to Solomons Islands.  We have been attempting  to go there for 3 years now and the weather never cooperated.  As you can see it is a cold and rainy day.  The temperature is 55 degrees and is pretty foggy.  Weather is still not cooperating but the iron genny is still chugging along.  Planning to reach Solomons Island around 2:00 pm.
